Invitation
May I hereby draw your attention to
the daily reading of the Gospel?
This invitation wants to share with You the joy
of the Gospel. Everyone, no one excepted,
can experience that joy by opening their hearts
to the healing power of God’s word.

Consideration
Verse 3-4 and following clearly recall yesterday’s verse 2, 11-14
and refers even more precisely to baptism by mentioning the bath of rebirth.
Verse 3-4 introduces a beautiful profession of faith that captures the essence of the Christian message.
FIRST READING Tit. 3:1-7
We too were once subject to error,
but God has saved us because he is merciful.
From the holy apostle Paul’s letter to Titus
Dear one,
Remind all
that they must submit
to government and authority.
They must obey
and be prepared to do whatever is right.
They should not slander anyone or seek quarrels,
rather they should be friendly
and extremely gentle in dealing with all people
without exception.
For we too were formerly without understanding,
disobedient to God and subject to error,
slaves to all kinds of lusts and desires;
we filled our lives with malice and envy,
retaliating hatred with hatred.
But the goodness and human love of God our Saviour
has appeared on earth,
and He saved us,
not because we might have done some good
but only because He is merciful.
He has saved us
through the bath of rebirth
and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
For He has poured out the Spirit on us abundantly
through Christ our Saviour.
Thus we have been justified by his grace
and become heirs to eternal life
towards which our hope is directed.

The Lord is my shepherd, nothing do I lack.

Has no one returned
to bring honour to God than only this stranger?
From the holy gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to
Luke
On his journey to Jerusalem
Jesus passed through the border region of Samaria and Galilee.
As He entered a village
ten lepers approached Him,
they stopped at a great distance and cried out loudly:
‘Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.’
He saw them and spoke:
‘Go and show yourselves to the priests.’
And on the way they were cleansed.
One of them returned when he saw that he was healed,
and he glorified God with a loud voice.
Full of gratitude, he threw himself down at Jesus’ feet,
and this man was a Samaritan.
At this, Jesus asked:
‘Are not all ten cleansed?
Then where are the nine others?
Has no one returned to bring honour to God
than only this stranger?’
And He spoke to him:
‘Get up and go; your faith has saved you.’
