Mag ik hiermee Uw aandacht vragen voor
het dagelijks lezen van het Evangelie?
Deze uitnodiging wil U deelgenoot maken aan de vreugde
van het evangelie. Iedereen, niemand uitgezonderd,
kan die vreugde ervaren door zijn hart open te stellen
voor de genezende werking van Gods woord.
Elke morgen vanaf 7 uur ter beschikking.
Openingswoord
Het feest van de H. Drie-eenheid probeert te raken
aan de onpeilbare diepte van Gods liefde.
God heeft zich immers aan de mensen laten kennen:
Als de Vader, die alles in het leven roept, leidt en behoudt,
als de Zoon, die toont hoe God ons heel nabij komt,
als de Geest, die ons van binnenuit vernieuwd en helpt
om meer op Jezus te gelijken.
God heeft zich laten kennen
als één grote beweging van liefde, genegenheid en zelfgave.
Het mysterie dat we vandaag vieren,
zegt niets anders dan dat God die liefde zelf is.
Wij worden uitgenodigd om deelgenoot te worden
aan die liefde tussen Vader, Zoon en Geest.
Laten we in deze viering ons hart daarvoor openstellen.
EERSTE LEZING Spr. 8, 22-31
De Wijsheid was gevormd lang voor het begin van de aarde.
Zo spreekt de Wijsheid van God:
De HEER schiep mij vóór al het bestaande,
vóór al wat Hij vanouds gemaakt heeft.
Van eeuwigheid ben ik gevormd,
lang vóór het begin der aarde.
Toen er nog geen oceanen waren, was ik reeds geboren,
vóór er bronnen waren, overstromend van water.
Voordat de bergen geplaatst werden,
en vóór de heuvels, werd ik geboren.
De aarde had Hij nog niet geschapen met haar vlakten,
noch ook de kostbare grondstoffen in haar schoot.
Toen Hij de hemel grondvestte was ik erbij,
en toen Hij een kring trok rond de wereldzee.
Toen Hij de wolken boven bevestigde,
en de bronnen aanbracht in de diepte,
toen Hij de zee haar grenzen wees,
opdat het water zijn oevers niet te buiten zou gaan,
toen Hij de fundamenten legde voor de aarde,
was ik aan de zijde van de Kunstenaar,
en was ik zijn troetelkind, dag voor dag,
en speelde ik aldoor voor zijn aangezicht.
Ik speelde over het oppervlak van zijn aarde,
en het was me een genot bij de mensen te zijn.

Heer, onze Heer, hoe ontzagwekkend is uw Naam op aarde!
Als ik naar de hemel kijk, het kunstwerk van uw vingers,
als ik maan en sterren zie, die Gij daar hebt gezet.
Ach, wat is de mens dan, dat Gij naar hem omziet,
‘t mensenkind, dat Gij zo voor hem zorgt?
Niet veel minder dan een engel hebt Gij hem geschapen,
hem gekroond met luister en met eer.
Heel uw schepping aan hem onderworpen,
alles aan zijn voeten neergelegd.
Runderen en schapen overal,
ook de wilde dieren op de velden.
Vogels in de lucht en vissen in de zee,
al wat wemelt in de oceanen.
TWEEDE LEZING Rom. 5,1-5
Tot God door Christus in de liefde van de Geest.
Broeders en zusters,
Gerechtvaardigd door het geloof
leven wij in vrede met God
door Jezus Christus onze Heer.
Hij is het die ons door het geloof de toegang heeft ontsloten
tot die genade waarin wij staan;
door Hem ook mogen wij ons beroemen
op onze hoop op de heerlijkheid Gods.
Meer nog,
wij zijn zelfs trots op onze beproevingen,
in het besef dat verdrukking leidt tot volharding,
volharding tot beproefde deugd
en deze weer tot hoop.
En de hoop wordt niet teleurgesteld,
want Gods liefde is in ons hart uitgestort
door de heilige Geest die ons werd geschonken.

God die is, die was en die komt.

EVANGELIE Joh. 16, 12-15
Al wat de Vader heeft, is het mijne. De Geest zal u verkondigen wat Hij van Mij ontvangen heeft.
In zijn afscheidsrede zei Jezus tot zijn leerlingen:
“Nog veel heb Ik u te zeggen,
maar gij kunt het nu nog niet dragen.
Wanneer Hij echter komt, de Geest der waarheid,
zal Hij u tot de volle waarheid brengen;
Hij zal niet uit zichzelf spreken
maar spreken al wat Hij hoort
en u de komende dingen aankondigen.
Hij zal Mij verheerlijken omdat Hij aan u zal verkondigen
wat Hij van Mij ontvangen heeft.
Al wat de Vader heeft is het Mijne.”
Daarom zei Ik dat Hij aan u zal verkondigen
wat Hij van Mij ontvangen heeft.

Over de zorg voor het gemeenschappelijke huis
80. Desondanks is God, die met ons wil handelen en op onze samenwerking wil rekenen, ook in staat iets goeds te halen uit het kwaad dat wij doen, omdat “de Heilige Geest een oneindige vindingrijkheid heeft, eigen aan de goddelijke geest, die ervoor kan zorgen ook de knopen van de meest ingewikkelde en ondoordringbare menselijke aangelegenheden te ontwarren”. Op de een of andere wijze heeft Hij zichzelf willen beperken tot de schepping van een wereld die ontwikkeling nodig heeft en waar veel dingen die wij als kwaden, gevaren of bronnen van lijden beschouwen, in werkelijkheid deel uitmaken van de geboorteweeën, die ons ertoe aanzetten samen te werken met de Schepper. Hij is aanwezig in het diepste binnenste van ieder ding, zonder de autonomie van zijn schepsel te bepalen, en ook dit veroorzaakt de legitieme autonomie van de aardse werkelijkheden. Deze goddelijke aanwezigheid, die het voortbestaan en de ontwikkeling van ieder wezen waarborgt, “is de voortzetting van het scheppend handelen”. De Geest van God heeft het heelal vervuld met potenties die het mogelijk maken dat er uit de schoot zelf van de dingen steeds iets nieuws kan ontspruiten. “De natuur is niets anders dan de ratio van een bepaalde kunst, vooral de goddelijke kunst, die staat geschreven in de dingen, waardoor de dingen zelf bewegen naar een bepaald doel toe. Alsof de meesterbouwer van schepen het hout het zou kunnen toestaan vanzelf te bewegen om de vorm van het schip aan te nemen.”

Sunday – Holy Trinity
Invitation
May I hereby draw your attention to
the daily reading of the Gospel?
This invitation wants to share with you the joy of the Gospel.
Everyone, no one excepted,
can experience this joy by opening his heart
to the healing effect of God’s word.
Available every morning from 7 am.
Opening words
The feast of the Holy Trinity tries to touch
the unfathomable depth of God’s love.
After all, God has made himself known to mankind:
As the Father, who calls all things into being, guides and preserves them,
as the Son, who shows how God comes very close to us,
as the Spirit, who renews us from within and helps us to be more like Jesus.
God has made himself known
as one great movement of love, affection and self-giving.
The mystery we celebrate today
says nothing else than that God is that love itself.
We are invited to become partakers
of that love between Father, Son and Spirit.
Let us open our hearts to this in this celebration.
FIRST READING Pr. 8, 22-31
Wisdom was formed long before the beginning of the earth.
From the book of Proverbs
Thus speaks the Wisdom of God:
The LORD created me before all things,
before all that he hath made of old.
I was made from eternity,
long before the beginning of the earth.
Before there were oceans, I was born,
before there were springs, overflowing with water.
Before the mountains were placed,
and before the hills, I was born.
The earth He had not yet created with its plains,
nor the precious resources in her womb.
When He founded the heavens, I was there,
and when He drew a circle around the sea.

Justified by faith
we live in peace with God

to that grace in which we stand;
through Him we may also boast
in our hope of the glory of God.
Even more so,
we are even proud of our tribulations,
in the knowledge that tribulation leads to perseverance,
perseverance to tried virtue
and this in turn to hope.
And hope is not disappointed,
because God’s love has been poured into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

In His farewell discourses, Jesus said to His disciples:
“Much have I yet to say to you,

But when he comes, the Spirit of truth,

He will glorify Me, because He will proclaim to you
what He has received from Me.
Everything that the Father has is Mine.

80. Nevertheless, God, who wishes to act with us and to count on our cooperation, is also able to extract some good from the evil we do, because “the Holy Spirit has an infinite resourcefulness, inherent in the divine spirit, which is able to untangle the knots of even the most complicated and impenetrable human affairs”. 5 In one way or another, He wanted to limit Himself to the creation of a world in need of development, where many things that we consider to be evils, dangers or sources of suffering are in reality part of the birth pangs, which prompt us to cooperate with the Creator. 6 He is present in the innermost being of every thing, without determining the autonomy of his creature, and this too causes the legitimate autonomy of earthly realities. 7 This divine presence, which guarantees the survival and development of every being, “is the continuation of creative action”. 8 The Spirit of God has filled the universe with potentialities that make it possible for something new to constantly spring from the very womb of things. “Nature is nothing but the rationale of a certain art, especially the divine art, which is written in things, through which things themselves move towards a certain goal. As if the master builder of ships could allow the wood to move by itself to take the shape of the ship”.
